Every child wants to feel like they are cared about, and parents try their hardest to show them they care. But then the world creeps in, the bills pile up, the stress at work builds up, and our kids, well they may start to feel ignored. In worst cases, our kids could end up feeling like they are not cared for or loved. To help them not feel this way, you need to be prepared to show your kids you care.

Ways To Show Your Kids You Care:
1. Take Them To Appointments
While your children might not appreciate being taken to the doctor’s or dentist’s office, it’ll show you care about them a great deal if you are the one to take them and not a nanny or babysitter. The next time you schedule an appointment with their pediatric dentist, make sure you plan it for when you’re off work. This way any fears they might have about the dentist, will be calmed because you’ll be there to guide them.
2. Spend Quality Time With Them
Probably one of the easiest ways to show your kids you care is to simply spend quality time with them. Not only will they appreciate this, but so will you. You’ll be creating new memories with them that will last a lifetime. And in the process, your kids will see and feel how much you care. To do this well, focus on doing things you enjoy and making sure each activity provides fun and lots of time together. You don’t even need to do anything big or fancy with them.
Something as small as taking them for lunch somewhere or even going for a walk in the park could be enough to do this. You should also take the time to ask them what they want to do and take that into consideration. By taking that extra step, they’ll be more likely to appreciate it, and it’ll show you care much more.
3. Celebrate Their Big & Small Wins
Your kids could do multiple things that adults would seem normal and expected, but they could be a big deal for your kids, especially if they do it for the first time. You should keep that in mind and celebrate your child’s everyday accomplishments.
As minor as these achievements can seem, they might mean a lot to your kids. Make sure they’re celebrated for them, especially if it’s something you want them to repeat. You can celebrate something small like sharing with a sibling without getting upset or learning how to make their own breakfast. Of course, You should also do this with any major achievements, such as getting a good grades at school.
It’ll not only show you care, but they’ll be more likely to repeat positive behavior because of it.
